Traveling-Expedition goes along Baikal Lake by the motor ship (Shoreline is
2000 km). Model of the ship, number of berth and so on we'll work out individually to your
order. We could unite in your traveling-expedition for example: one day trekking (with or
without one night) in the top of Baikal ridge (watershed of river Lena). Boating along the
river of Chivyrkuisky bay. You'll visit Olkhon Island, Ushkaniy Islands archipelago. You'll
travel along Svyatoy Nos (holy nose) peninsula and northeast coast of Baikal ridge. You'll
visit hot springs of Khakusy and Zmeevaia Bay. You'll catch: grayling, lenok, pike, and perch
by fishing rod. You'll have an opportunity to see fresh water seal - baikalian Nerpa. Shaman
will keeps the ritual ceremony at the sacred place - Shaman Rock. You'll observe ancient
burials and visit Baikal Ecological Museum.

| 1 | Arriving at Irkutsk. Motor ship is waiting in the Irkutsk harbor (or MRS - settlement on the Baikal shore) after accommodation going to Listvyanka settlement. Welcome Breakfast. Refreshing after flying, admiring by beauty of Angara river. Legendary Shaman Kamen' (Rock). There is a rock at the source of Angara. Its name Shaman begins with pagan times. Sacrifices to Baikal Spirit were kept here (includes human one) - 4 h, 60 km, cruising along Angara river against the steam. There is a landing stage100m near Baikalian Museum ships could land here. Lecture , excursion are in Baikalian Museum. There are: collection of baikalian sponges, fish, living Nerpa. Motor ship comes along an old Circum-Baikal Railroad. Mooring at Tolstyi Mys (Thick Cape). You can observe tunnels cut into the coastal rocks, decorated with ornamental brickwork by the prisoners of war - 2-3 h, 45 km along railroad. We'll make fire on the shore, picnic. Baikal Initiation - swimming in the Sacred Sea (or bathing face, feet and hands in the might Baikal) - 12 h, 240 km. | 2 | Strait Maloe More (the small sea) - Buryat shaman Valentin Kchagdaev will visit us. (He is white baikal shaman - "God gifted", very interesting person, has 6 fingers on one hand). Shaman accompanies our group till sacred mountain Shamanka. It is a rock near Khuzhir settlement. Shaman will keep the ritual ceremony- 3 h, 50 km. We could visit a fish plant and to buy smoked and salted omul -. We'll visit burials of pagan shamans. The burials are built from the stones in shape of the boats turned to north - 2 h, 35 km. Fishing for grayling from the ship. (Sometimes it is impossible to catch fish with fishing rod in Maloe More). We'll go to north of Olkhon Island to Khoboy cape (fang in Buryat) - 3 h, 50 km. It is a place of excellent fishing from the ship. Sometimes you can fish quite big examples of white grayling. There are good bays where you can walk along, make fire, climb to the top of the rock Khoboy (150m). We could divides depend on interests: fishing or "philosophizing". | 3 | Morning fishing from ship till 10am. Sunrise is amazing picture of majestic Baikal. God please, gives us a good weather! We go through Maloe More (Small Sea) to Zama cape - 3 h, 40 km. We'll visit sacred place of Buryat shamans - Rityi cape. It is prohibited for women came here. Men could approach a valley with ancient kyrikan wall. | 4-5 | Zavorotnaia bay. Walking to the Baikal range. (We can divide according to the interests:
fishermen or "climber men"). There are 3 variants: Variant 1: walking tour up to the mountain
(day, night). We take tents and other tackle. The rout length is 14km to and 14km from. 4km is
a path through the forest, 8km is through wild animal trail, 2km is through boulders of the
brook and along stone placer on the slope. There are 3 lakes and glacier on the ridge of 1800m
high. The bears pass here, (almost frighten, but dogs will be with us); we can see the
reindeers, deer and elks close if we'll be lucky. It is splendid picture from the very ridge
of the mountain. There are magnificent cascades, high rocks like on the Caucasus. We were
traveled with 10 and 12 years old children; they were the first on the top! - By feet 8-10 h,
28 km. Variant 2: 1 day walking. We'll go up by the geological road toward miners of extracted micro quartzite. 13km road goes by serpentine and rise more than 1200m. It is a wonderful picture from the middle of the mountain in the good weather - by feet 6-7 h, about 26 km. In any time we can turn back and go to Russian Banya. Variant 3: trekking to the source of the Lena river. It is Baikal - Lena preserve, administration gives its observer we pay for passing. Trained persons able to overcome 1 day rout, 12km to and from. Climbing more than 1300m rapid ascents - by feet 10 - 12 h, about 24 km. If we'll be lucky and will not be "Lena drizzle" we'll see Lena in a calm valley. Swarm of mosquitoes lived here. Take creme anti mosquito. Russian Banya with bathing in Baikal in Zavorotnaia bay, after coming from the mountain. Festive supper in honour of "the mountain peaks' conquest". Smoked omul and grayling will be served. Note: Fishing lovers could boat to Ledyanaia river and fish grayling in an estuary - 4 h, 60 km to and from. |

| 6 | On the ship going for the large last year's "crocodile" (as we called pike, which lived in one lake and may grow for 17 kg. Spinning, spoon baiting) - 8 h (ship is going the night time, in the morning fish-biting we are at "lake of crocodile", 100 km). Places are called: Muzhinai, Kovrizhka. Lake of "crocodiles". | 7 | Morning hooking for "crocodiles" till 10am. Going to thermal springs of Khakusy - 4 h, 60 km. Having a rest on a beach. Hot Smoking of the fish. Going to Kabanya river. | 9 | Cruising further along Chivirkyi bay to Zmeevaya hot spring and beach - 1,5 h, 25 km. We can to boat with the stream up about 7km on the motorboat, observe fish lenok, grayling under the water. Fishing for the pike, perch, large bream (about 4kg) on the water pit, lake and bays of Krutaia, Krohalinnaia. Traveling to Ushkaniy Islands - 4 h, 60 km. There is fresh water seals' (Nerpa) rookery here. (Visiting nerpa's rookery is cost 1000rub per person by National Park). Leaving to Maloe More in the nighttime - 12 h, 220 km. | |
